Receiver's quarterly accounts, 1834-1855.

Quarterly disbursement and receipt accounts were totaled for return to the U. S. Treasury. Disbursement entries include date and cause (e.g., compensation for depositing funds with U.S. Treasury; salaries; commissions; freight; stationery; printing; travel expenses). Receipt entries were usually made for land purchases and include purchase date; Receiver's receipt number; purchaser name; tract legal description; tract acreage; price per acre; military land scrip and warrants received; and total purchase price.
